Non-Toxic Cleaning Services Are Green & Natural

Non-Toxic, Green, Natural, Eco-Friendly Cleaning…What’s all the buzz?Eco-friendly Cleaning Atlanta

You will probably see words like green, eco-friendly and natural on many cleaning products. People think that these products are nontoxic and noncarcinogenic. The reality is, these terms are buzzwords and mean pretty much nothing. The EPA offers an eco-friendly certification called Design for the Environment. This certification does assure that you are purchasing an eco-friendly product or look for “Green Seal” certification for more rigorous standards. HOWEVER, certification is voluntary, so most eco-friendly cleaning products have no certifications at all.

Eco-Friendly and Green labels doesn’t mean noncarcinogenic

Unfortunately, most consumers think just because something says green, eco-friendly, or natural that it is non-toxic. That is not the case. You need to make sure when buying cleaning supplies that you are purchasing non-toxic products for you and your loved ones. If you buy non-toxic, it will be eco-friendly.

Natural cleaning products, not so natural?

Just because a cleaning product says natural on it, doesn’t mean it is. It will have one or two ingredients in it that are natural and therefore, they can call it natural. There are no regulations against this practice.

Be a label reader!

Make sure you read the labels on the cleaning products you use. If there are ingredients you don’t know, check them out online and see what it is. Toxic chemicals in your home is a huge issue. It creates a harmful living environment for you and your loved ones and the ecosystem.
