How to substitute the laundry detergentsOne of the strong trends in the last 50 years is the turning back to the nature. Nowadays, many people from all over the world are living in an eco-friendly way and have totally substituted the chemical products from the supermarkets. It is not necessary to set up a community in the wilderness to do so. Even if you live in a crowded city you can still lead an eco-friendly lifestyle. Although many of the products, produced from natural ingredients (which are the basis of the nature-friendly lifestyle) are available for purchase, you can nevertheless make them on your own in your home. In this article we will give you several recipes for one of the everyday types of detergents we have to use – the laundry detergent.

 

For the preparation of these detergents, almost all of the products will be natural, thus not harming nature.
All of the recipes we suggest to you can be cheaper than ordinary laundry detergent (depending on the exact brand of the detergent).

For the first recipe you will need: 3 boxes of washing soda, 1 tub of versatile stain remover, 1 big box of eco nuts and 1 box of baking soda. Mix half of the baking soda and half of the nuts and fill the food processor with the mixture. You have to end up with an evenly ground mixture. After you have finished repeat the same thing with the other half of the baking soda and the nuts. Then mix the grounded nuts and soda with the rest of the ingredients. You may use a bag of some sort or a jar, depending on what you find to be the most comfortable for you. And you are done. When you use the laundry detergent put the same amount of it into the washing machine, as the amount you usually use.

For the second type of laundry detergent you will need: 3 tablespoons of borax, the same amount of washing soda and 2 spoons of soap. Mix them and add 4 cups of boiling water. Swirl until you have even mixture. Then add a small amount of cool water and fill the mixture into a jar.

The last laundry detergent consists of the same ingredients, however, in larger quantities. The difference is that you don’t pour water at the end – just mix the ingredients.
For the next recipe you will need: 1 cup of eco nut berries, 4 cups of water and half a cup of vinegar. Boil for 30 minutes with the lid on then – for another 30 without it. After it cools fill a jar with the substance.How to substitute the laundry detergents
